Hi there,

My name is Tyler Cosley and I am the new director of Cumberland Bands. I am originally from Mechanicsville, VA where I graduated Atlee High School, and I just recently graduated from Longwood University with my Bachelor of Music degree. My primary instrument is the Alto Saxophone, and I have had secondary lessons with trumpet, violin, and percussion. I now live in Farmville, VA with my fiancé and our dog Annie! I am incredibly excited to begin this school year and to build relationships with the students in Cumberland. I am committed to cultivating commitment, growth, and a strong sense of pride as we all continue towards achieving a higher level of musicianship. I look forward to seeing our marching band students on July 10^th for the first day of band camp, and all students on the first day of school!
