Cumberland Bands Newsletter – 1/7/20

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!

I trust you’re all rested up and ready for another semester of awesome band activities.

==JAN 11, 2020==

Students who have signed up for All-District Band auditions, we will be leaving the CHS band room at 6:45am sharp on Saturday, Jan 11.

Sat, Jan 11, 2020
6:30am – Be at CHS Band Room
6:45am – Depart for Thomas Dale HS
2:30pm-ISH – Return to CHS Band Room

Things to note:

1. These are individual auditions for All-District Band. With over 1,000 students participating, knowing exactly when we’ll be done is very difficult. We should be home early afternoon, and I will be texting out when we actually depart from TDHS to give everyone a for-sure return time.

2. There are concessions on site. Please send money for food, or bring the food you want to eat. Plan to eat lunch at TDHS.

==FEB 1, 2020==

We are hosting a winter guard competition on Feb 1, and will need some help. More details to follow.

==ADDITIONAL DATES==

Here are a few more important performance dates for this semester:

Tues, April 7, 2020 – Spring Concert (all MS & HS band classes)
Sat, Late April, 2020 – Patriot Day (HS band, date TBA)
Fri, May 15 – Graduation (HS Band)

MARCHING BAND Spring Mini-Camp will be sometime in early May.
