Hello superior band people!

This is basically an update email. The tree lighting went smashingly, and I am very proud of our children. I’ve updated the first two upcoming events to add more details, so do check them out. 🙂

===SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2019
===FARMVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE

Marching band!

12:30pm – Meet at CHS Band Room, get in full uniform
1:00pm – Depart for parade location in Farmville
2:00pm – Parade begins
4:00pm – Estimated return time

THIS IS THE SUNDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING, so please plan accordingly. Additionally, there are weather concerns, but no changes will be made until within 48 hours of the event. Keep an eye on the site and the Band app.

===TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2019
===CUMBERLAND BANDS/CHORUS WINTER CONCERT

This is for ALL classroom band students, 5th – 12th grade (and chorus students). They’ll stay after school, and I will feed them supper. The concert begins at 7:00pm in the CMS/CHS Cafetorium and will last about 45 minutes. Please plan for transportation home from the event, as this is a REQUIRED PERFORMANCE for all band class students.

For 5th and 6th grade, please dress nicely and in season. We do not have a uniform, but we want to look sharp. Boys shirts must have a collar (no t or sweat shirts). Ties are optional. No jeans, sweats, etc. While I know it’s somewhat of an older term, we generally aim for the concept of wearing your “Sunday best”.

7th-12th. Concert polos and khakis.

===SANTA BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER

I’ll have more information on this shortly. The band program will have its annual Santa Breakfast on this morning at the CMS/CHS Cafetorium. We’ll need lots of help. Details will be to you next week.

===SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2019
===CUMBERLAND CHRISTMAS PARADE

Marching band! The parade starts at 2:00pm. We’ll meet at CHS around 1:00pm and will be done by around 3:30pm. I will confirm these details soon.

We’re going to be leaving the Remind.com messaging program at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. For this year, we are going to be using both the BAND app and the Remind.com program. Do take the time to download this app and join our groups. Instructions below:
