===COOKIE DOUGH DELIVERS TOMORROW, WED, OCT 2===

Cookie dough will be in the band room in the afternoon. If your children are able to carry them on the bus and bring them home, then they can come get them at the end of the day. Otherwise, you can come get your cookie dough until 3:30pm at the band room.

===COMPETITION – SAT, OCT 5===

Please bring a lunch or necessary food to eat in transit. There will not be an opportunity to purchase food until after we perform.

10:30am – Arrive at CHS Band Room
11:00am – Depart for Charlottesville HS
12:30pm – Arrive at Charlottesville HS
2:45pm – PERFORMANCE
5:00pm – Homecoming Dance Bus will depart for Cumberland HS
6:30pm – Homecoming Dance Bus will arrive at CHS Band Room
9:30pm – Awards
10:00pm – Depart for Cumberland
11:30pm – Arrive at CHS Band Room, unload & put everything away

OTHER FOOD: This band program has always been very generous in providing the students with snacks and drinks for their trips. We would continue to appreciate individually wrapped food items, bottles of water, etc.

There will be a teacher who will stay in the band building from 6:30pm to 8:00pm so all the students who are coming back to homecoming can get ready on site. All members are welcome to get ready in the band building, and will need to vacate the building by 8:00pm.

===CHAPERONES===

We always love to have parents with us when we go compete. We do have procedures in place that we would need every parent to observe if you’re planning to have any trip responsibilities with the band at any time during a competitive event.

If you’re planning to do more than show up at the show site, then please know that I have to register you as an official chaperone for each event. This includes if you’re planning to ride the bus with the students or help with the competition process in any way.

EITHER:

1. Come into the middle school office on the last working day before a competition (usually this would be a Friday) and register with the front office. This will include scanning your state-issued ID into the system.
   
   -OR-
   
2. Provide me with a scan/photocopy/photo (via email would be fine) of both the front and back of your driver’s license and I would process you myself on the day before a trip.

===HARVEST DINNER THEATRE – TUESDAY, OCT 29===

Tickets will be on sale soon!  This is a must-hear event!

The CHS Concert Band and will be performing a spooky old-time radio show.  This year’s event will feature a radio retelling of the timeless Washington Irving classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. You’ll hear other fun musical performances, as well.  A delicious buffet dinner is served by the CHS Culinary Arts department.

Join us in the CHS cafetorium for this fun audio experience.

Dinner is served at 6:pm
Performance begins at 7:pm
and lasts about 45 minutes.

Tickets are $10
$5 for children 6 and under who are eating.
We are prepared for your specialized dietary needs upon request.
