QUICK: Chaperoning events and other notes

Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to toss out a quick note about band trips and how you can help.

CHAPERONING: We always love to have parents with us when we go compete. We do have procedures in place that we would need every parent to observe if you’re planning to have any trip responsibilities with the band at any time during a competitive event.

If you’re planning to do more than show up at the show site, then please know that I have to register you as an official chaperone for each event. This includes if you’re planning to ride the bus with the students or help with the competition process in any way.

EITHER:

1. Come into the middle school office on the last working day before a competition (usually this would be a Friday) and register with the front office. This will include scanning your state-issued ID into the system.
   
   -OR-
   
2. Provide me with a scan/photocopy/photo (via email would be fine) of both the front and back of your driver’s license and I would process you myself on the day before a trip.

I am unable to take anyone else on the bus this weekend, but if you plan to ride with us in the future, then I will need to know as soon as possible.

FOOD: This band program has always been very generous in providing the students with snacks and drinks for their trips. We would continue to appreciate individually wrapped food items, bottles of water, etc.
