Hello fine band people!

Although short, this has been an outstanding week for the program. New uniforms hit the field last Friday, we’re working through the show hard this week, and cookie dough sales have begun!

ALSO, today’s football game has been postponed. Read on for details!

===THE FOOTBALL GAME SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT, 9/6, HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL MONDAY, 9/9===

Instead, for today we will have a regular Friday band practice until 5pm. The COLOR GUARD is going to stay with Ms. Heather until 9pm, and the band program will provide supper for them.

The band will not be attending the game on Monday, 9/9. We will have a full practice schedule next week, though, concluding with another home football game on Friday, 9/13.

We have been completely blessed by the various snacks and such that have come in for the students. We continue to welcome the various individually-wrapped or portioned snacks that the students can have. That little boost comes in handy at practices and games.

===COOKIE DOUGH SALES HAVE BEGUN!===

Cookie dough brochures went out to all the students on Wednesday. Quick things to note:

1. All products in the brochure are $17 each.
2. Sales officially end on Friday, Sept 13.
3. All checks can be made out to either CMS or CHS.
4. Delivery is on Wednesday, October 2.

Please plan for the October 2 delivery so you can get your dough orders out to your customers.

===HS CONCERT BAND AT CCES ON 9/11===

The HS concert band (which includes 8th graders and select 7th graders) will be performing in the Cumberland Elementary School 9/11 memorial ceremony at 8:30am on Wednesday, Sept 11. Permission slips will be going out on Monday, 9/9.

===HARVEST DINNER THEATRE – TUESDAY, OCT 29===

Tickets will be on sale soon!  This is a must-hear event!

The CHS Concert Band and will be performing a spooky old-time radio show.  This year’s event will feature a radio retelling of the timeless Washington Irving classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. You’ll hear other fun musical performances, as well.  A delicious buffet dinner is served by the CHS Culinary Arts department.

Join us in the CHS cafetorium for this fun audio experience.

Dinner is served at 6:pm
Performance begins at 7:pm
and lasts about 45 minutes.

Tickets are $10
$5 for children 6 and under who are eating.
We are prepared for your specialized dietary needs upon request.
