Cumberland Bands Newsletter – 8/29/19

Hello amazing band folks!

Tuesday was absolutely the BEST marching band rehearsal we have ever had since I have been here. I’m so super proud of the students and how hard they worked! We’re looking forward to putting some of this show on the field for this Friday!

LOTS of news, so be sure to read this newsletter

=====1. GAME DAY THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 2019!=====

If your child has ordered shoes, then please send $40 in for them. All wind instrument players will need gloves at $3 a pair, which I have for sale in the band office.

Kickoff is at 7pm, so come on out if you can. Games usually end around 9:15pm or so. I’ll text out on Remind when the game is over, and then ask you give us about 20-30 minutes to get back to the band room and put uniforms and equipment away.

=====2. COME JOIN US ON FRIDAY FOR THE TAILGATE PARTY!=====

At 5pm on Friday, August 30, we’re having our tailgate party outside the band room! We’ll supply the hot dogs. If you’re coming, could you bring a little something:

If your last name starts with A – P, bring a side dish or chips!
If your last name starts with Q – Z, bring a dessert or drinks!

We’re going to be leaving the Remind.com messaging program at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. For this year, we are going to be using both the BAND app and the Remind.com program. Do take the time to download this app and join our groups. Instructions below:
