Hello awesome band folks!

Tons of new information, and I’m going to try to address everything up through the end of the school year. I’m sure I’ll miss something, so expect a possible follow-up.

==MARCHING BAND UNIFORMS AND SPRING CLINIC==

We have all the money for our new marching band uniforms! We’ve had some large donors help us get over the top, and we will be publicly thanking them shortly.

We will be sizing for new uniforms right after spring break! I will need a commitment from your child (and you) for them to be sized. Paperwork will be coming your way shortly.

Rising 7th graders who have not marched yet are welcome to audition to march by attending spring clinics. Everyone else who is marching will also need to attend in preparation for the fall.

SPRING CLINIC SCHEDULE
May 7, 8, 9 – 3pm-6pm
May 14, 15, 16 – 3pm-6pm

==March 30th – Winter Guard to Mt Vernon HS for AIA Finals==

5:00am Departure time (please be at the CHS band room by 4:50am)
9:26am – Cumberland Winter Guard performance time
2:00pm – Awards
6:00pm – Return to CHS

It’s going to be a bit of a long day. Bring necessary money for meals. We recommend you also bring blankets, pillows, comfort food, water, etc, to enjoy the ride.

==April 16th – Spring Concert==

ALL BAND CLASS STUDENTS, 5TH GRADE THROUGH 12TH GRADE
Performance time: 7:00pm in the CMS/CHS Cafetorium
Students will stay after school and will be fed. Details to follow.

==April 17th – MS Evening Performance==

8th grade/HS Band only. Details to follow.

==April 18th – CCES Evening Performance==

8th grade/HS Band only. Details to follow.

==April 27th – Patriot Day==

8th grade/HS Band only. Details to follow.

==May 17th – Graduation==

8th grade/HS Band only. Details to follow.=

===CHAPERONING===

Starting this semester, if you wish to chaperone then I will need to have a current photocopy of your driver’s license on file with the CMS principal’s office. This is regardless to whether you have provided a copy prior to now. We have moved to a new system and will need new copies. Please let me know if this includes you. You must complete this process if you want to ride the bus or aid in the process of student activity and competition. Thanks for your understanding with this! 🙂
