A Banner Day at All-District for Cumberland Bands!

This year, we didn’t just have one member make first chair — we had TWO members win the highest possible spot! Plus others were also named to the VBODA District III All-District Band!

Out of 28 different school systems, including Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Petersburg and many other systems spanning South-Central Virginia, with over a thousand students auditioning, here’s how Cumberland represented today:

Jack Williamson – 1st Chair Trumpet, Jr High Band (2nd year in a row)

Jake Price – 1st Chair Baritone Saxophone, Jr High Band

Michael Ross – 3rd Chair Oboe, Sr High Concert Band

Celeste Mitchell – 4th Chair Tuba, Jr High Band

Valencia Valentin – Alternate Flute, Jr High Band
