Cumberland Bands Newsletter – 12/18/18

Hello awesome band folks!

Just a quick note to say Happy Holidays, as well as tidy up the calendar year before break.

FOR THOSE HS BAND MEMBERS PLAYING AT THE 4TH GRADE EVENT TONIGHT, we will stay after school, eat, rehearse, and then go to CCES about 5:30pm.  We will perform a couple of quick numbers at around 6:20pm and then be done before the 4th grade program begins at 6:30pm.  The bus will bring us back to the band room as soon as we’re done, so plan to pick up your child at the band room by around 6:45pm.

ALL-DISTRICT AUDITIONS ARE SATURDAY, JANUARY 5TH.  The bus will need to depart the band room by 6am!  We should be back by around 2pm.  Details to follow.

WE’RE HOSTING A WINTER GUARD COMPETITION ON JAN 26!  I am going to need a core of parent volunteers willing to make this all happen, and we’ll need to meet once asap.  This can be an amazing fundraiser for the program, as well as bringing the winter activity to Cumberland!

WINTER GUARD / WINTER WINDS are practicing on Sat, Dec 29 from 9am -3pm in the CMS/CHS gyms.  Bring your lunch.
