We have TONS of super-important information in today’s post.  Please take the time to read it all.

==TICKETS FOR DINNER THEATRE 10/30==

I MUST know ASAP if you’re coming to the Harvest Dinner Theatre but have not yet purchased tickets.  We have to order food and I want to make sure you’re fed.  If you know of folks coming but haven’t yet acquired tickets

==CHAPERONES FOR SATURDAY 10/27==

If you are planning to chaperone for the competition on this Saturday with the marching band, then please contact me immediately.  I will be submitting the list first thing Thursday.

==COOKIE DOUGH DELIVERY DATE – THURS, NOVEMBER 1ST==

Details coming soon, but be prepared to pick up your dough orders on this date.

==FRIDAY FOOTBALL GAME 10/26==

As of now, there is still the last home game on this Friday.  It appears, though, that we may have rainy weather.  Please be patient, as we will probably be making decisions on Friday afternoon.  If we are NOT attending the game, then we will have regular band practice until 5pm.

If we do have the game, then we are going to have an awesome pulled pork barbecue supper (w/ cole slaw and beans) for $3.  If your child chooses not to partake of this option, then please have them bring food for supper.

We would appreciate drink donations for this Friday.

==COMPETITION THIS SATURDAY, 10/27==

IF IT IS RAINY WEATHER, THEN THE COMPETITION WILL BE HELD INDOORS IN THE PHS GYM.  IN THIS CASE, WE WILL DEPART THE COMPETITION AFTER OUR DIVISION AWARDS.

IF IT IS DRY WEATHER AND THE COMPETITION IS OUT ON THE FIELD, WE WILL STAY THROUGH TO THE END OF THE SECOND DIVISION PERFORMANCES.

The schedule below reflects both possibilities.  This decision will likely be made on Saturday morning.

EITHER WAY, IT WILL BE COLD COLD COLD ON SATURDAY, SO BE PREPARED TO BE OUT IN IT FOR A LONG WHILE!!!

Schedule
12:00pm – Be at the Cumberland Band Room (eat lunch before you arrive)
12:30pm – Depart for PHS
1:00pm – Arrive at PHS
1:30pm – Warm Up
2:15pm – Performance
5:15pm – First Half Division Awards

IF IT IS RAINY WEATHER AND WE CHOOSE TO COME HOME EARLIER
6:00pm – Depart for Cumberland
6:30pm – Arrive at Cumberland Band Room

IF IT IS DRY WEATHER AND WE CHOOSE TO COME HOME LATER
10:30pm – Depart for Cumberland
11:00pm – Arrive at Cumberland Band Room

Remember the following:

1. Please bring enough food or money to be satisfied for the day.  We will not have a chance to eat prior to performance.  After the performance, there are concessions on site for the students to purchase.
2. It’s going to be quite cold.  Prepare to dress properly to be outside for several hours.
3. Return times are my best estimate.  I will use the Remind.com service to narrow down when we will actually arrive home.  I do genuinely believe it will be around the listed time.
4. We will have some unloading to do when we arrive back home, so please allow your child the additional few minutes to ensure the equipment and uniforms are all put away and that the band room is classroom-ready for Monday.  Our usual rule: nobody leaves until everybody leaves

==DINNER THEATRE – OCTOBER 30, 2018==

LAST CHANCE FOR TICKETS!!! CONTACT ME IF YOU’RE INTERESTED!

This is a must-hear event!

The CHS Concert Band and will be performing a spooky old-time radio show.  This year’s event will feature a radio retelling of the timeless Rudyard Kipling classic The Mark of the Beast. You’ll hear other fun musical performances, as well.  A delicious buffet dinner is served by the CHS Culinary Arts department.

Join us in the CHS cafetorium for this fun audio experience.

Dinner is served at 6:pm
Performance begins at 7:pm
and lasts about 30 minutes.

Tickets are $10
$5 for children 6 and under who are eating.
We are prepared for your specialized dietary needs upon request.
