MARCHING BAND – competition 10/13!!!

Well, I hope everyone weathered the storm.  Here are some new details:

  1. BRING YOUR PERMISSION SLIP IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY TURNED ONE IN!!!
  2. COLORGUARD: I have no idea about the choice of uniform for tomorrow, so be prepared to wear either one.  Once together tomorrow, we’ll make the best choice for the day.
  3. We’re going to have about an hour on the practice field at CHS tomorrow before we depart, so DON’T BE LATE!!!  I’ve slightly adjusted the schedule below to reflect this information
  4. PARENTS: Let me know if you’re going to chaperone!  I could use folks on the bus.  Also, any snack food/water donations would be appreciated!
  5. PARENTS: If you are planning to take your child from the competition before we leave, please physically check out your child with me so I know they are in your custody.
  6. Forgive me if I’ve forgotten anything!

12:30pm – Be at the Cumberland Band Room
1:45pm – Depart for MHS
2:45pm – Arrive at MHS
3:30pm – Warm Up
4:15pm – Performance
10:30pm – Awards
11:00pm – Depart for Cumberland
12:00am – Arrive at Cumberland Band Room

Remember the following:

  1. Please bring enough food or money to be satisfied for the day.  We will not have a chance to eat prior to performance.  After the performance, there are concessions on site for the students to purchase.
  2. Return times are my best estimate.  I will use the Remind.com service to narrow down when we will actually arrive home.  I do genuinely believe it will be around the listed time.
  3. We will have some unloading to do when we arrive back home, so please allow your child the additional few minutes to ensure the equipment and uniforms are all put away and that the band room is classroom-ready for Monday.  Our usual rule: nobody leaves until everybody leaves
