Cumberland Bands Newsletter – 9/7/2018

Hello awesome band folks!

==MARCHING BAND==

Home game today! The boosters are handling feeding the children this evening.  The game will end around 9:15 or so unless there is a delay.  I will text out immediately when the game is over.

The competition on September 22 has been cancelled by the host.  I do not plan to add a replacement event as there are no other local events that day.

Do note that all home varsity football games are on Fridays.  I realize that on the printed sheet I handed out at the beginning of the year that I put Saturday on some of them.  The dates are correct, but they should be listed at Fridays.

==COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER HAS STARTED!==

The entire band program is selling cookie dough!  Your child should already have the brochure and order forms.  All orders are due in on Friday, Sept 15th!  Let me know if you need additional order forms.  REMEMBER: We can also take online orders, BUT online orders of cookie dough are delivered to the school to be ultimately delivered by you to the customer.  Online orders of other items can be shipped directly to the buyer.

==5th GRADE BAND STUDENTS==

Method books have been shipped in.  Every 5th grade band member needs to already have the red Tradition of Excellence book 1 beginning book.  For wind instruments, they are $11 each and for percussion they are $14.  These can be purchased through the CMS band, or you can get them from anywhere else you like.
