Hello Amazing Band Folks!  TONS of good news!

=== CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MARCHING BAND!

The new Cumberland Marching Band competed in their first ever high school band competition at Bluestone HS. 2nd place in percussion, marching, and general effect, and 3rd place overall in class. It was an amazing day.

=== SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR MARCHING BAND THIS WEEK

There will be NO marching band practice on Thursday, Oct 19, due to the half day of school and PT conferences.

Marching band will end at 5pm on Friday, Oct 20, for all members.  Please plan transportation accordingly.

=== DINNER THEATRE TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE

Starting Thursday, 10/12, tickets will be available from the band director and performing students for the 2017 Harvest Dinner Theatre.  They are $10 a person, and $5 for children 6 and under who are eating event food.  Mr. Brandt is planning the menu this week and has promised a very enjoyable meal.  I’ll publish this info as soon as I have it.  Be sure to tell all your friends the following (and buy tickets quickly so we can plan to feed everyone):

This is a must-hear event!

On Monday, October 30, the CMS Advanced Band and the CHS Theatre Department will be performing a spooky old-time radio show.  This year’s event will feature a radio retelling of the timeless Edgar Allan Poe classic The Cask of Amontillado. You’ll hear other fun musical performances, as well.  A delicious dinner is served by the CHS Culinary Arts department.

Join us in the CHS cafetorium for this fun audio experience.

Dinner is served at 6:pm
Performance begins at 7:pm
and lasts about 30 minutes.

Tickets are $10
$5 for children 6 and under who are eating.
We are prepared for your specialized dietary needs upon request.

While everyone is welcome, the entertainment fare is targeted to older children and grown-ups.

Tickets are available from the CuCPS band director and the student performers.
