Cumberland Bands News – 3/14/2016

Spring is on it’s way and lots of news will be floating your way as we prepare for next year, fall marching band, etc.  Here are a couple of things for you to know now:

Just like this fall, we’ll have a small band concert attached to the CMS Celebration of Excellence on 4/14/16.  The concert will begin around 6:pm in the cafetorium and should be about 20 minutes of performance.

 

Originally at Appomattox HS, due to the damage from the recent storm, they have asked Cumberland to host this event.  Our children will be able to participate in the Southside Va Honor Band right here at home.  This is an awesome opportunity to provide an honors band experience for both our middle school and high school children, and I hope they will all participate.

We are now hosting it, so I also need plenty of parent help to make all this happen. I have lots of hosting experience, so helping hands will be greatly appreciated.

In April, we’ll be sending out information about marching band, color guard auditions, and all sorts of other awesome musical opportunities.
